body2body , i reckon, is the first ever recorded in writing a compilation of LGBT stories in Malaysia.

bravo MATAHARI BOOKS.

most of all, to each and every staunch and determined authors who had manage to get their stories printed and compiled in this book and to those who did hand in their creative writing but were not lucky enough to get their work printed.

nevertheless, we surely must applaud bold move such this.

it has been the most anticipated book.

at any rate, reading this book is worth every penny and time u spent.

it sure does illuminate the breadth and varieties of LGBT experiences , expect for one very technical essay that i totally utterly disengaged while reading. mateila daku berterus terang

mungkin tak tercapai kot akal i. seperti membaca tesis begitu, siap ada citations.

of course, to my personal discontent , i wish for more malay lesbian authors to come forward and contribute.

to be honest i desire for more insights from the malay lesbian perspectives and hence the urge.

jangan fikir bukan bukan ye, although majority of the authors are non muslims, i have nothing against the idea pun. the truth is, ai nak rasa lebih ‘connected’ dan agak teruja akan pengalaman muslims LGBT, particularly lesbian lah ye.

insofar i have come to engaged in a few bloggers’ writings whose insights and point of views shall benefit the lgbt community at large, especially lgbt muslims

kepada kalian yang berbakat dalam penulisan tu, ai encourage u personally, to share your views and stories demi untuk kebaikan kita bersama. apa salahnya berkongsi cerita dan pengalaman.

indeed i can never be too sure but the issues and experiences of a malay LGBT might differ completely from a non malay, in terms of our belief and culture

although the very basis for the experiences may clash.

this is the right time to do so.

ai particularly fond of shanon shah’s essay – muslim 2 muslim. i feel like i can relate so much to his stories, not that the others are non-relatable . but being a muslim myself, the emphasis on belief and self-conflicting views between Islamic teaching and sexuality though mind-boggling, really is intriguing .

on thursday last week it was kinda last minute that erin wished to pay a visit to her mom, kat kampung halaman.

makanya malam tu ai kena tidur bersendirian.

so as usual, after we had brunch together ai went down to see sang KB. kaedahnya mengajak lepak. maklumlah. dia skip training class kejadah.

akibat dah lama tak hang out BERDUA, we spent hours talking, digging, gossiping lite lite. catch up what we left when we last met kat winter warmers dua minggu lepas kot

pergh , cakap macam lah 5 bulan tak jumpa.

we used to hang out A LOT sebelum nih, sebelum dia bermastautin di shah alam la maksudnya. makanya i wouldnt want to let down an opportunity that comes once in a blue moon. hehe ye ye je

the meet up was nothing but ordinary chicks day out, until we met with this pregnant lady.

ceritanya begini, tengah rancak berborak kat ikea rest, dia datang menyapa weols. kalau setakat menyapa, takpe lah kan, ni tidak, she was enticing a conversation.

aduh, garu garu kepala sebentar. we were in the middle of  conversation, cakap pasal perempuan lah apalagi kan, dia masuk je line, not that she eavesdropped on us.

cumanya dia cuba memulakan perbualan , aih takkan dia tak perasan weol tengah borak?

okay, bagi ai kakak tu bukanlah bersifat kurang ajar pun. cumanya we have never been approached dengan sebegitu sekali.

akibatnya, we paused * our topic that is* to give ways kepada akak ni berborak ngan weols

she was with her daughter, probably at about 5-6 years old.

she mourned the fact that she was tired following * lebih kepada berkejar kot* her daughter around and how boring it was for her to have lunch at ikea restaurant every day !!

tiber dia ambil posisi duduk sebelah ai. gulp.

ai pun bagi ruang dia duduk, lagipun kasihan tengok dia mengadu sakit perut lah, penat lah. yelah preggie woman.

ai tak pasti samada dil harap apa yang harapkan, dalam hati kecil ni berkira akak ni akan blah setelah duduk sekejap. tapi TIDAK ya’ll

dia mintak kami tengokkan stroller anak dia, dia pulak pergi membeli makanan.

bila dia dah duduk siap dengan makanan dia, she sat beside me. ai dengan dil duduk berdepan.

tibe akak ni tarik tangan ai letak kat perut dia. wow !

dil kata muka ai dah semacam. in fact it was unexpected for. i was shocked, definitely.

akak tu kaedahnya nak suruh ai rase lah pergerakan baby nya, tapi ganjil dan ngeri rasanya.

sebab tibe je die tarik tangan ai letak kat tummy dia. she pulled my hand lower and lower , and stopped probably half an inch up to her pubic bone (ke??).

mateikemak?

sempat ai mengucap. bolei? DQ lah sangats kau dian.

lucky that we had finished our meal sebelum dia datang, so selepas buat muka fake and excused ourselves, kami pun blah sambil recall kembali kejadian ganjil tuh.

ya ampun.

tu je, bunyi macam apa jah. frankly i wasnt expecting THAT to happen to me. although i must say it was a striking experience.

readers, please send a prayer for a friend of mine who is still missing in the recent Banggi boat tragedy . thank you.

i received the breaking news from a friend through SMS yesterday.  She was with her family on their way to Pulau Banggi to celebrate Aidiladha when their wooden boat flipped over.

it was an odd feeling knowing one of the missing person is a person i have known.

she was a friend from primary school and we were close.

what is more upsetting she was married earlier this year.

so if i may ask you to spare some time and pray for her as well as the other missing persons.
